Terrific news! My debut novel, “Displaced – Part One,” is available for purchase in both ebook and hardcover versions. Because I published the book in print-on-demand form, most chain bookstores don’t currently stock its physical form in their brick-and-mortar stores. This may change.
For now, the book can only be ordered online. Here are a few ordering options:
Amazon: Amazon offers ebook (Kindle) and hardcover purchase options. Prime customers will not receive customary next-day shipping, as the book isn’t printed until it is ordered. Please note that Amazon sells the hardcover directly, as well as through a few third-party vendors such as Book & Mortar Record Store and All Time Fans. While my personal experience buying items through third-party sellers on Amazon has generally been positive, I still recommend checking the customer feedback rating of a particular third-party seller before you order from them. While you can always file a claim with Amazon if the vendor you selected from their site fails to ship on time or damages the product along the way, I’m guessing you’d just as soon avoid that.

Barnes and Noble: Barnes and Noble offers ebook (NOOK) and hardcover purchase options. According to their website, Premium Members may get 10% off and earn rewards.

Thriftbooks: Thriftbooks offers a hardcover purchase option, currently (2/8/2024) at a lower price than the other sites. I have never ordered from them before, but this Washington-based online retailer enjoys a rating of Excellent / 4.5 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot, based on over 1.6 million reviews.
Note: Thriftbooks also allows customers to leave product reviews on its website.
Coming soon: The online self-publishing company I worked with, IngramSpark, is introducing an option that allows independent authors such as myself the ability to let readers order books directly from their author webpages and social media accounts. I have decided to hold off on this option for now, as I need as many reviews as possible through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Goodreads, and other high-traffic sites. But check back soon…and thanks!
